Hong Kong Sun TV (English name SUNTV) in August 2000 was founded in Hong Kong by the Hong Kong company Sun Television Cybernetworks Limited is wholly owned Enterprise, it is a global Chinese elite and their families as a target of Chinese television media.
2000 August 8 Sun TV channel was formally launched, in September the same year, China's State Administration of Radio landing permission. Sun TV channel to open unencrypted spread through AsiaSat 3S.
